The role

This role is for someone who wants to be a Financial Adviser, but knows they need to learn to walk before they can run. Learning under the Managing Director and Adviser in the business, you will get your hands dirty from day one.

There is a clear pathway to a Financial Adviser role for the right person. You will be constructing advice documents for clients and understanding the systems and processes of the business from day one.

The position will involve extensive training, mentoring and personal development potentially leading to managing existing clients over time then ultimately new clients and a full client advisory position.

Skills and experience

Work alongside our Managing Director & Adviser as well as the Client Service Coordinator and Client Manager to provide value to our clients;
Solve financial planning issues;
Prepare investment portfolio and cash flow reports with commentary for our monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to clients;
Prepare quarterly wealth reports and other advice documents for reviews (such as Net Wealth/Insurance and Financial Projections) as required;
Look for opportunities for our clients to save time, build wealth and protect their assets;
Liaise with Fund Managers / Other Business Professionals on behalf of clients;
Support our Client Services Coordinator and Client Manager
Preparing Statement of Advice (SoA) documents. The advice areas that can be addressed in an SoA include: Superannuation, Insurance, Retirement planning, Cash flow, Investments, Social Security, Estate Planning, Borrowing to Invest (Gearing).
Prepare Records of Advice (RoA) documents from information collected during annual review meetings.
Check completed advice documents to ensure they meet compliance and business standards.
Research financial and insurance products.
Assist the adviser to develop strategies to ensure clients goals are achieved.
Research financial and insurance products.
Contact product providers to obtain client specific information
Perform modelling and comparisons for product and advice strategies.
Continuous update and proactive input into business processes, procedures, regulations, and standards.
