We launched our business 3 years ago at UOW Innovation Campus and our focus is on delivering holistic financial planning services to the Illawarra community with a client values driven focus for investment decisions. Our business exists to help friends, family, and our local community through financial advice towards the future they desire.

Our small team of four have between us 36 years’ experience in Financial Planning in the Illawarra.

Our work is demanding yet rewarding, and we love doing it together. We are friendly high-achievers that deliver for our clients and community – all while looking out for each other, rewarding effort along the way, and providing tailored personal and professional growth opportunities.

implementation /admin assistant

Excellent time management / highly organised
Preference is someone with a min 2yrs Experience with Financial Planning Software Adviser Logic or Xplan or someone who has done admin tasks in a financial planning office.
Keen to contribute to a small team, work hard and improve business practices.
Someone who can help with implementation of existing and new business and will be responsible from start to finish to ensure the business completes in a compliant.

There is scope to increase your range of admin services to help with compliance, help with fds, osa, roa, soa , emails, client enquiries/ experience with super fund and insurance websites how to look up details / provide reports would be an advantage.

We are currently looking for an Advice Technology Consultant to join our team supporting our best of breed financial planning solutions built in XPLAN.

The successful applicant will have plenty of experience using XPLAN (particularly the modelling modules such as XTOOLS+ and WealthSolver), and be comfortable upskilling their team and troubleshooting in this area. Working with peers in Australia and overseas, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of advice and also providing technical support on paraplanning and advice modelling. Paraplanning/Quality Assurance Manager

Full-Time and Contract Available Work From Home

You will also be responsible for the:

Manage a Paraplanning Team

Oversee job rotation and workload allocation
Maintain strong communication with the team
Reviewing advice production, ensuring compliance and timeliness
Upskilling your team with regular training and feedback
Build an expert team of paraplanners
Participate in regular team presentations and meetings
Provide guidance to the team for modelling, paraplanning and compliance
Work closely with your peers to continually develop and improve our services
Keeping the team “up-to-date” with industry news pertaining to financial advice and compliance
Working with Clients

Work professionally with clients on matters of advice production and compliance
Participate in client meetings as required
Build strong client relationships by providing quality technical support
Participate in professional development days and training
Consult on “best practice” in advice production and paraplanning
Complex Paraplanning

Prepare (both independently and using your team) professional, comprehensive and high quality financial advice documents
Be the go-to “guru” in paraplanning, armed with extensive technical know-how, and keep those skills up to date
Desired Skills and Experience

To be the successful applicant you MUST:

Have extensive knowledge of the financial planning advice process and the preparation of clear and concise advice documentation
Be able to clearly demonstrate excellent technical and financial modelling skills
Be comfortable and capable communicating orally and in writing
Able to provide constructive, clear feedback
Be a willing participant in continuous learning
Take personal accountability for your team in delivering timely, accurate and high-quality outcomes
Be capable of working productively as part of a team with your peers and external stakeholders, both in person and remotely.
Already have a tertiary or post-graduate Financial Planning qualification and/or Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualifications in Financial Planning
Have 5 years’ experience in the preparation of SOAs, calculations and modelling
Be experienced modelling and preparing advice in XPLAN
Know your way around Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Broadly understand superannuation, retirement income streams, investments, insurance, taxation, social security and estate planning
